About Me

Hi, I’m Amy — an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach with a passion for helping others feel their best from the inside out.

After years as an elementary school teacher, I made a personal shift toward wellness that completely transformed my life. That journey inspired me to support others in making meaningful, lasting changes to their own health.

I earned my Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching Certificate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in 2025. In addition, I also hold certificates in Functional Nutrition as well as Hormone Health. My training includes a wide range of dietary theories, hormone balance, nutrition science, coaching techniques, and lifestyle strategies rooted in both evidence and empathy.

What I’ve learned — and fully believe — is that there’s no one-size-fits-all solution to wellness. Every person is unique, and so is their path to optimal health. My role as your health coach is to be a supportive guide and partner as we work together to design a personalized plan that aligns with your body, your lifestyle, and your goals.

Whether you’re looking to boost your energy, support hormone health, improve your nutrition, reduce stress, or simply feel more balanced, I’m here to help you take those steps — one achievable goal at a time.

My Story

Nearly a decade ago, after the birth of my second child, everything in my body began to feel… off.

I was exhausted beyond normal “mom tired.” My joints hurt. My skin broke out in painful, persistent acne. I had brain fog, extreme weight loss, and reactions to foods I had eaten my whole life. I felt like a shell of myself — a walking skeleton.

I went to doctor after doctor. I had all the tests.
Over and over, I was told nothing was “wrong.”

I was prescribed antidepressants, birth control pills, supplements — but nothing helped. In fact, I kept getting worse.

Everything began to shift when one doctor suggested I look at my diet.

I wasn’t eating terribly — just what most people would consider “normal.” What I didn’t realize was how much the food I was eating was contributing to my symptoms.

So I made changes. Big ones.

I immersed myself in books. I experimented with different diets and cooking methods. It took years of trial and error, but slowly my body began to respond. I gained healthy weight. My skin improved. The food reactions eased. I felt like myself again.

For years, I felt pretty great.

Then, a couple of years before turning 40, things shifted again.

This time I was gaining weight quickly. The acne returned. I developed perioral dermatitis around my eyes, nose, and mouth. Migraines, tinnitus, hot flashes, and intense mood swings followed.

Once again, I felt like I was breaking.

I was told I was “too young” for perimenopause. The tools that had worked for years suddenly stopped working. It felt like I was back at the beginning.

But this time, I did things differently.

I went back to the doctor — and I went back to school.

I dove deeper into functional nutrition, gut health, hormone health, and something even more important: healing beyond the plate.

Because while food plays a vital role in our health, I learned it’s not just about eating the “perfect” diet. Nervous system support, stress regulation, sleep, mindset, and sustainable habits matter just as much.

Today, I feel better than I ever have.

I’m free from joint pain. The hot flashes are gone. My energy is steady. My skin is clearer than it’s been in years (still not perfect — and that’s okay). I can enjoy most foods again without flaring up. I’ve lived gluten-free for over 10 years and continue to do so.

I don’t live a “perfect” healthy lifestyle.
I live one that works for me.

And now I use everything I’ve learned — personally and professionally — to support other women who feel dismissed, confused, or stuck in their bodies.

If you’re ready to feel like yourself again — or you don’t even know where to start — I’d love to walk alongside you.
